ATLANTA, GA. — January 7, 2009  - Centrafuse, a leading developer of software tools for embedded devices, announced that its automotive infotainment framework, Centrafuse Auto, will be featured running on Microsoft’s Windows Embedded Auto software platform in Visteon’s Connected Car at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2010. Windows Embedded Auto and Centrafuse operate together to provide a robust and appropriate user experience for independent infotainment and computing services for drivers and passengers.

"The car is simply another mobile device, and the ability to fully integrate disparate features, functions and content is a critical aspect of providing a user experience that is optimized for the car." said Dan Seitam, the CEO of Centrafuse. "We call that Intelligent Convergence, and it ensures that the driver and passengers receive a consistent and contextual media experience in the car. Microsoft’s experience, installed base and commitment to the car make Microsoft an ideal partner for Centrafuse. Centrafuse takes full advantage of the capabilities of the Windows Embedded Auto platform and presents that to the end-user in a way that is intuitive, fully-featured and extensible.”

“The flexibility of the Windows Embedded Auto platform is enabling partners like Centrafuse to create new and rich user interfaces,” said Greg Baribault, marketing director, automotive product management Microsoft’s Windows Embedded Business division. “The Centrafuse Auto interface and its vast feature set is simplifying driver control over a wide range of functions.”
