ATLANTA, GA. — January 1, 2009  - Centrafuse, a leading developer of software tools for embedded devices, announced that its automotive infotainment framework, Centrafuse Auto, will be showcased in Visteon Corporation's “Connected Car” demonstration at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2010. The Connected Car is Visteon's Internet-connected platform for next generation infotainment services for the automotive market. The combination of Intel's Atom Processor, Visteon’s infotainment platform, Microsoft's MS Auto 4.0 and the Centrafuse Toolkit delivers a complete solution for powering, building and deploying rich media experiences in the car.

Centrafuse 3.0 is a completely agnostic Application Integration Framework that enables separate applications, content sources and devices to merge into a single user experience. This framework provides software engineers, user interface designers and device manufactures with a development toolkit that enables the development, integration and control of separate applications via one common, touch-friendly, voice-controlled user interface.

"The car is simply another mobile device, and the ability to fully integrate disparate features, functions and content is a critical aspect of providing a user experience that is optimized for the car." said Dan Seitam, the CEO of Centrafuse. "We call that Intelligent Convergence, and it ensures that the driver and passengers receive a consistent and contextual media experience in the car. This is especially important as infotainment and computing services grow in popularity and evolve as a centerpiece of branding for the car manufacturers."

Visteon's “Connected Car” demonstration is an ideal platform for showcasing the power of providing seamless access to media while in the car. Senior Manager for Global Electronics Innovation at Visteon, T.C. Wingrove, said, "Centrafuse’s Tookit enabled a critical linkage between the machine, the cloud and the end-user – allowing us to develop quickly and cost effectively what you see in the Connected Car demonstration on the MS Auto 4.0 platform.”

You can see Visteon’s “Connected Car” demonstration and Centrafuse Auto at Visteon's booth CP-13 in the Central Plaza at CES.
